We are proud to announce that two members of the (Pre) Clinical Cancer Research Group (PCCRG) have participated in the national workshop on Cardiac tissue engineering and assessment at the Golestan University of Medical Sciences. The workshop was held on Wednesday 17 September 2014. It is our great honor to proclaim the strenuous attendance of Mr. Saeed Khodayari and Mr. Hamid Khodayari who cooperate in our research group.

The national workshop on Cardiac tissue engineering was held by the efforts of faculty members and students of the Golestan University of Medical Sciences and the University of Washington (Missouri) to introduce the advanced and novel techniques in tissue culture for Iranian researchers and scholars. Topical issues of the workshop were as follows :

* The History of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine
* Cardiac tissue engineering using embryonic cells
* Two & Three-dimensional cultures of embryonic cells and their differentiated products
* The use of engineered tissues in Pharmaceutical Sciences
* Intracellular and extracellular recording of three-dimensional cardiac tissue
* Mechanical investigation of engineered tissue in the lab
